Kidnapping gangs show signs of disorder, as police get tough

Recent kidnappings have been marked by a decrease in professionalism, and a stronger response from law enforcement at the direction of President Daniel Chapo

When Adolfo Muholove, chief executive of development finance company Gapi, was snatched from his car along with his son in the city of Maputo on 12 May this year, events did not follow the normal pattern of kidnappings in Mozambique.
