Syrah aims to reopen Balama mine after signing compensation agreement with locals

Syrah says it has reached a deal on compensation for resettling locals, which would end over four months of shutdown

Syrah Resources is aiming to restart graphite production at its Balama mine in Cabo Delgado province by the end of June, the company announced yesterday, after signing an agreement with local protesters who have been forcing it to suspend operations since December last year.
