Islamic State-backed insurgents killed a civilian on Thursday 12 June during an attack on the village of Miangalewa in the Muidumbe district of Cabo Delgado province.
A local source told Zitamar News that insurgents appeared unexpectedly in the evening and killed a local man. Another source reported heavy gunfire in the area during the attack, which took place near a position of the Mozambican armed forces.
