Pigeon pea exports re-liberalised after cereals authority changes mind

The reversal of an earlier decision comes amid a battle between corrupt forces in state institutions and promoters of free trade

Agricultural commodity traders can go back to exporting pigeon peas and similar products from this week, the Mozambican customs and cereal authorities have announced, in a bizarre reversal of an earlier decision that would have blocked all such exports until the end of September.
